Yea, it's an 06 but I already checked that. check the battery under load at a local parts store. possibly could be not meshing corectly, could be the brushes in the starter not making contact. i know benchmark & 747 ink are both good shops. $150 for both from Trail Tech, Think about it guys, Why is the starter wire getting hot when he presses the starter button?if the positive post was broken inside the starter it just wouldn't work (it would be an open circuit) it wouldn't make the wire hot unless it broke and was grounding out ,which is possible but the post would have to be bent inside touching the caseing (doubtfull).the wire is heating up because it is completing the circuit there is just a lot of resistance from the starter (ie. My buddy had this problem last week and I hope your outcome is better than his. Clicking like crazy but wouldn't start. that is how i have shown my daughter to start it and she can. THE PRIMARY SHEAVE SPINS BUT THE BELT DOES NOT MOVE. is it an 06...? the early ones, yamaya forgot to tighten these 2 nuts. MAKES CLICKING SOUND. I CAN BRING IT TO YOU WHEN YOU GET BACK. I GOT IT FIXED! You need to trickle/float charge the battery for a few days. more then likely its a bad starter. turned off tried again and it just clicked again. it will start in first. The email address entered is already associated to an account. I've already charged the battery with a really good 'smart' charger, and then had it tested at AutoZone (with a load).

put everything back together and it ran. if the clicking sound comes from the solenoid when you try to start the engine the solenoid may need replacing, the solenoid is like a big switch that takes the power from the battery to the starter motor,inside it there contacts that come together to make contact & that is where the problem is.....hope this helps.....cheers, Complete. ? 2004 Ford F250, Nov 04, 2010 |

A friend of mine called me, she was having trouble with her rhino 700 and asked if i could check it out, I'm not that experienced with rhinos but anyway this is the problem, The bike would start , make some awful noise and then die, till finally it just would'nt start at all, so after checking a few things I discovered the starter was fried! Has good battery. Just run along side til up to speed, hop on side-saddle and as your coming down on the seat, grab the clutch, drop it into first gear and release the clutch. help please. You should buy the trail tech rectifier and stator, youll never have an electrical problem again. You can't post answers that contain an email address. while starter is off pull your sparkplug,put your bike in gear and see if you can get the motor to cycle over (this should tell you if your motor is locked up) keep us posted:).
Further investigaton proved that the problem was a corroded ground wire on the battery. If the battery and connections are ok the starter solenoid would be the culprit. SOURCE: WONT START, BATTERY IS UP. search for 06' problems.

How does a starter get locked up? Just bought it used. 4. SOURCE: My 2002 won,t start. Fuel pressure is 47. When I took it out, both bikes ran just fine. Once you get it running, you'll need to ride it around for a bit while it charges itself.
Just be careful you don't tip over the other to the right. I have a 2012 Yamaha Rhino 700FI that just clicks when trying to start it in Neutral but will start in any other gear although it does turn over slowly. A solenoid that is working correctly will provide an audible click as you activate the starter. Also check battery conecitions for ⦠I've been trying to start my V Star 1100 and only get a clicking noise from under the seat. Pisses me off. which is a solenoid under the seat that seems to click. Replaced the starter but still doing the same thing. The fuel filter is completely empty. Bad or corroded solenoid. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad. Whether your machine's "no start" problem is a fuse blowout or a starter gone bad, here's how to check your Yamaha ATV for starting problems. The clicking is low voltage and will ruin your solenoid. Push start it.
Mine was a bad battery, it does not have the power to activate the solenoid switch for the fuse box, that is the fast cliking sound you hear, test your battery,hook it up to another battery or jumper cables. It just clicks the solenoid when I hit the start button. more than likely your starters locked up try to run a wire from your positive post of your battery to the post on the starter to see if it spins,(carefull you will have a lot of resistance if your starter is locked up so the wire could and probably will get very hot!good luck and keep us posted:). I tried to start it, no go. YO! Even if you have a new battery and your Yamaha ATV won't start, a simple test light and a digital voltage meter can help you identify the problem. Sounds to be a loose battery terminal or battery wire lead. The fact that the relay clicks tells us that the CDI (at least the part necessary to support starting the engine) ... As they wear the intakes tighten up until it just won't start when cold - adjusting to spec returns starting like new. i live in el centro so not a lot of choices to take the rhino to for repairs. the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay.

Is it possible the the starter gear is mis aligned with the splines on the shafts from tipping the motor to go in the frame? the quad will NOT start in neutral. If Rhino starts: Open the file from the File menu > Open or the Open toolbar button.
